Splane`s war rhetoric

the last talk o the saturday convention of jw was already often the centre of discussion, with all the name calling, logical fallacies and fear mongering.

however, it was interesting, not just what and how splane adressed the matter, also what he actually had to admit.

1) he had to admit, that the org is actually loosing court battles, left and right.

Education Policy

i was raised a catholic until the age of eight which was a normal life.

my mother took everything the jws said literally and this destroyed my schooling and education.. the issue that i have with this religion is that they contradict what they say about education and elders encourage parents to prevent kids from gaining a college or university education as the jw objectives should be the primary goal in life.. they sometimes seemed to encourage education and recently i checked and now they are saying that education leads to alienation and suicide.

they state that university leads to immorality and drug taking.

Growing up, I went in field service every blasted Sat. and Sunday after the morning meeting. Neither parent ever took me to to the county or city library. The only library I needed was in back of the Kingdom Hall.

Despite being forced to have no education, one can always learn.

'I dropped out of school in the 8th grade, but I have over 4000 books in my library and I've read them all, some 30 or 40 times! Before I could afford books I spent lots of time in libraries. In America, there is no excuse for not educating yourself. Success starts with education.'

here are links to some trailers.. the adventists documentary film - bing video - the sda live about 10 years longer than people in general of the usa, due to their emphasis on healthy living.

that is something i appreciate about them.. there are some similarities between the sda and wt/jws.
